The primary role of the project manager is to meet or exceed the customer’s expectations through project deliverables. The project manager role utilizes techniques and tools to manage each stage of the project while working within organizational and cost constraints, setting goals tied directly to stakeholder needs, and getting the most from the project management team to get the work done on time and within budget.

On-site PLG leaders will manage and/or direct the activities and people associated with projects including the following services:

  • defining project requirements
  • developing project plans/charters
  • developing detailed plans and schedules
  • defining, organizing and facilitating interface between key project personnel and key functional areas
  • managing implementation
  • establishing and utilizing processes for communications and project controls
  • establishing and utilizing mechanisms for project tracking and reporting
  • managing project closure
